Es seien $ \mathbb{O}=(O;B)$ und $ \mathbb{T}=(T;C)$ affine Koordinatensysteme für $ K^n$.

  1. Das Koordinatentupel (der Koordinatenvektor) des Punkts $ P$ bezüglich des Koordinatensystems $ \mathbb{O}$ ist $ \vphantom{P}_\mathbb{O}P=\vphantom{\overrightarrow{OP}}_B{\overrightarrow{OP}}$.
  2. Die Abbildung $ \vphantom{\kappa}_\mathbb{T}\kappa_\mathbb{O} \colon K^n\to K^n \colon\vphantom{P}_\mathbb{O}P\mapsto\vphantom{P}_\mathbb{T}P$,

    die dem Koordinatentupel eines Punkts $ P$ bezüglich $ \mathbb{O}$ das Koordinatentupel desselben (!) Punkts bezüglich  $ \mathbb{T}$ zuordnet, heißt Koordinatentransformation.
